2024年5月30日，我们痛失了一位伟大的灵魂，PES建筑设计事务所的创始合伙人佩卡·萨米宁教授于赫尔辛基平静地离开了我们。

 

我们心中充满了无尽的悲痛与思念，因为我们失去的不仅仅是一位杰出的领导者，更是一位充满激情、不知疲倦的先行者。佩卡，他是一团永远燃烧的火焰，他的热情照亮了我们前进的道路。他是一位坚定的执行者，他的决心和毅力让我们在面对任何挑战时都无所畏惧。他的全方位视野和无畏精神，已经深深地烙印在PES建筑设计事务所的设计原则之中，成为我们永远的指引。

 

佩卡深信，建筑师的使命不仅仅是设计和建造，更是为了创造一个更美好的世界，让人们在这个世界里能够自由地生活、工作、实现自我。他的这一信念已经深深地影响了我们每一个人，让我们更加坚定地走在实现这一使命的道路上。

 

除了佩卡在建筑领域的卓越成就和杰出的国际职业生涯，他更值得骄傲的是创立了这所公司。在他的引领下，全体员工共同努力，全心奉献，使得PES能够延续55年来的成功传统，并继续向前发展。

 

在佩卡的职业生涯中，他在中国完成了多座伟大的建筑，其中包括广受国内外奖誉的无锡大剧院和福州海峡文化艺术中心。建设中的南京南部新城会展中心（中芬合作交流中心）成为了佩卡留给中国的最后的作品。

 

正如佩卡在其自传《远航》中所言：“如果只靠我个人的力量，确实实现不了这么多理想，但是反过来说，如果没有我的参与，我相信很多成就也难以实现。”这句突出团队合作重要性的话语深深地触动了我们。

 

PES建筑设计事务所对佩卡的毕生工作和无私奉献表示深深的感激。

 

 

Pekka Salminen 11.8.1937 - 30.5.2024 in Memoriam

 

Our founding partner Professor Pekka Salminen has passed away peacefully in Helsinki on 30.5.2024.

 

We remember Pekka as a passionate and tireless initiator and relentless executor whose holistic and fearless approach to challenges remains at the core of PES Architect’s design principles.

 

Pekka believed that an architect’s mission is to design and build a better world for people to live, work and find personal fulfilment in.

 

In addition to his notable architectural achievements and remarkable international career, Pekka had reason to take pride in establishing an office that, through the collective efforts and dedication of all of us, will carry on its 55-year legacy of success into the future. 

 

Pekka completed several buildings in China during his career, including the internationally awarded Wuxi Opera house and the Fuzhou Strait Culture and Art Center. The Nanjing South New Town Center, currently under construction, will remain Pekka's final work in China.

 

As Pekka says in his biography The Long Voyage (2022) (Pitkä purjehdus) of teamwork: I wouldn’t really have been able to accomplish much on my own, but on the other hand, I believe that many achievements would not have been possible without me.
