Groundbreaking ceremony of Shanghai Submarine Museum

9月7日上午，上海潜艇展览馆(中国航海博物馆黄浦分馆）（暂定名）项目一期开工仪式暨“双拥教育园（暂定名）”揭牌仪式在黄浦滨江3号船坞举行。市拥军优属基金会理事长周太彤，黄浦区委书记杲云，区委副书记、区长沈山州，以及市交通委、市退役军人事务局、黄浦区、上海地产集团、市拥军优属基金会黄浦区工作委员会、上海中国航海博物馆、世博发展集团相关负责同志出席仪式。

沈山州在仪式上致辞。他表示，作为党的诞生地、初心始发地、伟大建党精神孕育地所在区，黄浦有着鲜明的红色印记和厚重的历史积淀。黄浦滨江底蕴深厚，码头文化和工业遗存，都在这里交相辉映。接下来将继续会同市相关部门和企业集团，推动项目顺利开工、抓紧建设、早日建成，以创新的精神和实干的魄力，进一步激发黄浦工业文化的新活力，进一步拓展市民休闲娱乐的新空间，进一步打造黄浦双拥工作的“金名片”，携手打造好黄浦滨江这一新地标。

上海潜艇展览馆（中国航海展览馆黄浦分馆）（暂定名）项目选址黄浦滨江原江南造船厂3号船坞，总用地面积约12600平方米。该项目于2021年4月启动，设计方案突出文化与展示功能，通过潜艇与江岸的有机结合，打造简洁的建筑外形、合理的空间尺度。坞底的水景设计呈现了逐渐起伏的地形和水位高低变化，还原船坞历史风貌。地面通往坞底的大台阶将船坞与滨江公共空间串联起来，实现了活动空间的延伸。该项目建设主要分为两期，一期为潜艇拖航入坞后的潜艇修缮和展陈，预计于年底前向公众开放参观。

Shanzhou Shen delivered a speech at the ceremony. He said that as the birthplace of the Party, the birthplace of the first heart and the district where the great Party spirit was nurtured, Huangpu has a distinctive red imprint and a rich historical deposit. Huangpu's riverfront is rich in heritage, with dock culture and industrial heritage, all of which are intertwined here. We will continue to work with relevant city departments and enterprise groups to promote the smooth start, construction and early completion of the project, to further stimulate the new vitality of Huangpu's industrial culture, to further expand the new space for public leisure and entertainment, to further build the "golden card" of Huangpu's double support work, and to work together to create a good The Huangpu Riverfront is a new landmark.

The Shanghai Submarine Museum (Huangpu Branch of the China Maritime Museum) (tentative name) project is located at the former Jiangnan Shipyard No. 3 Dockyard on the Huangpu Riverfront, with a total site area of approximately 12,600 square metres. The project was launched in April 2021 and the design highlights the cultural and exhibition functions, creating a simple architectural form and a reasonable spatial scale through the organic combination of the submarine and the riverbank. The water feature at the bottom of the dock presents a gradual undulating topography and changes in water level to restore the historical appearance of the dockyard. The large steps at ground level leading down to the dockyard link the dockyard with the public space along the riverfront, allowing for an extension of the activity space. The construction of the project is divided into two main phases, with the first phase being the restoration and exhibition of the submarine after its towing into the dockyard, which is expected to be open for public viewing by the end of the year.
